Season of Service 2014
Raising the level of ongoing service in the greater Sacramento region
SoS 2014: January 18 to May 18, 2014
Season of Service is a specific time set aside each year for local churches to intentionally collaborate together with civic, educational and non-profit agencies in order to meet the most pressing needs in their community. The first Sacramento Season of Service happened in conjunction with and prior to the Luis Palau Sacramento Festival in the Spring of 2012.
Serve Sacramento exists to link people to serve in causes and communities of the greater Sacramento region. It is a group made up of cause champions and community area mobilizers dedicated to city and regional transformation. Serve Sacramento is in association with the ACTS Group (Advancing City Transformation Strategies).
Serve Sacramento is designed to be the recognized hub of connectivity that mobilizes people of the greater Sacramento region toward unified transformative action in specific causes and in community areas. This is accomplished by connecting believers to experts, information, inspiration (stories), training and action steps that create “life on life” service and interaction.
Serve Sacramento is about connecting actions and relationships that lead to transformed lives and households. We believe that service changes the lives of the server as well as the one being served. Through videos, testimonies and stories, we seek to catalog the snapshots of how these lives are changed. We are dedicated to collecting, highlighting and sharing these stories. We want to hear your stories! Submit yours to firstname.lastname@example.org.
